Gaiscioch Community Newsletter - September 2025
Welcome to the new & improved format!
Welcome to the new & improved Gaiscioch Community Newsletter. Now that we have established our Substack as the Gaiscioch Herald, I am setting up a schedule of deployment that will deploy in 4 parts.
Gaiscioch Community Newsletter - The latest news, events, and community information.
Guild Wars 2 Community Updates - News and events from the Guild Wars 2 universe.
Conqueror's Blade Community Updates - Progress report of our war efforts in Conqueror's Blade.
The Adventurer’s Guild - featuring news, events and updates from all of our adventures.
Additionally, for those who are interested, I will be launching 2 additional posts per month:
Upcoming MMORPG News - Covering all of the latest news and trailer drops for new MMORPG titles.
Upcoming Cooperative Gaming News - Highlighting a few hand-picked cooperative titles each month.
As a Substack user, you are able to activate or deactivate any of these to your preference. So if you don't want news from Guild Wars 2 or Conqueror's Blade, you can turn it off, and you won't be notified about it anymore.

Gaiscioch for Extra Life Schedule Announced
Get ready to play games for a great cause! The Gaiscioch Social Gaming Community is once again teaming up with Extra Life for a massive charity event to benefit the Children's Miracle Network. The 2025 Gaiscioch for Extra Life event will take place first on November 1-2nd, then the main event from November 7-9th.
Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to help save children's lives. Since 2011, the Gaiscioch community has raised an incredible $57,789, and we're aiming to add to that total in a big way.
You can join the fun by watching our live broadcasts and even getting a chance to win prizes. To participate, simply create a Gaiscioch Passport Account and enter the raffle. Remember, all donations are tax-deductible, and every dollar goes directly to helping kids in need.
We can't wait to game with you for a cause that truly matters!
Gamescom Announcements Huzzah!
Gamescom 2025 has revealed a number of key announcements for fans of MMORPGs and cooperative gaming.
MMORPGs:
World of Warcraft: Midnight: Blizzard debuted the cinematic for the next World of Warcraft expansion. Midnight will see Blood Elf leaders Lor'themar and Liadrin defending their home of Quel'Thalas. Preorders are open, and the expansion is slated for release in the first half of 2026. The announcement also included a deep dive into new features like player housing, changes to transmog prices, and a new Allied Race.
Aion 2: NCSoft's new MMORPG, Aion 2, received a news report confirming a global release shortly after its Korean launch in Q4 2025. It will be built on Unreal Engine 5.
Where Winds Meet: The multiplayer open-world Wuxia RPG from NetEase was confirmed for a global release on November 14.
Dune: Awakening: The survival MMO will get its next chapter and first DLC, "The Lost Harvest," on September 10.
Interstellar Utopia: A new sci-fi sandbox MMORPG from Chinese studio Pixel Software was announced. The game promises cyborgs, spaceships, and mechs.
Path of Exile 2: Grinding Gear Games announced "The Third Edict," its next big update (v0.3.0), which includes Act 4, a free trial, and a new league.
Black Desert Online: The veteran MMORPG from Pearl Abyss is still going strong, with the launch of its "Edania" expansion this month. The update brings new content and a major focus on the "Demon Realm" within the game.
Cooperative Games:
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7: One of the biggest co-op announcements was for Black Ops 7. The campaign can be played solo or with up to four players, and every mission is designed for variety and a shared experience. The game will also feature a new PvE mode called "The Endgame."
Enshrouded: The co-op survival RPG announced its "Wake of Water" update for October, which will add new water physics.
Everwind: A new trailer was shown for the co-op RPG and first-person survival game, which will be available on PC. Players can build bases on flying island-ships.
Terminull Brigade: The free-to-play co-op action-roguelike shooter, developed by PewPew Games and published by Level Infinite, was featured with a new trailer. The trailer, titled "Into the Infinite," highlighted a new playable character and teased an upcoming content update. The game, which officially launched globally on July 30, 2025, had an immersive experience for attendees at Gamescom, offering hands-on demos. The game's core loop involves players teaming up as "Rogueteers" to fight against "malevolent shadow algorithms" in a collapsing virtual world called the Nullverse. The game's rogue-like elements mean that runs are randomized, with new challenges and rewards each time.
