Greetings Family,
For more than two decades, our community has shared stories, updates, and adventures through our monthly newsletter. From the early days of Ceannard Notes to the more recent Gaiscioch Community Notes, these letters have been our way of keeping the fires of fellowship burning brightly—reminding us that Gaiscioch is more than just a guild, it’s a family spread across many games, adventures, and even continents.
Last month, some of you may have noticed a quieter inbox than usual. The only newsletter that went out was through your Gaiscioch.com inbox. After nearly a decade of service, our bulk email provider, SendGrid, officially retired their free plan. Since then, we’ve been searching for a new home for our monthly missives. Unfortunately, most providers limit daily sends to around 100 on their free tiers—far too small for a community of our size.
And so, we turn the page to a new chapter. Today, I’m excited to introduce you to the Gaiscioch Herald, our new home here on Substack. This move will not only allow us to continue sharing our stories with you, but also provide:
A more reliable platform for getting newsletters into your inbox.
A central hub where you can easily revisit past issues.
A cost-effective way to keep the Chronicle of Gaiscioch alive without breaking the coffers.
Much like the village bard who once carried news from hearth to hearth, the Herald will carry tidings of our community far and wide—celebrating our victories, our friendships, and our shared journey together.
Here’s what you can expect in each issue:
Community News – updates, milestones, and highlights from across the family.
Guild Chapters – the latest from our main homes in Guild Wars 2 and Conqueror’s Blade.
Adventures in Progress – tales from the games we’re currently exploring together.
Upcoming Horizons – news of new MMORPGs and cooperative titles on the horizon.
This move is about more than just technology—it’s about ensuring our stories continue to be told. Together we’ve crossed battlefields, scaled mountains, braved dungeons, and shared laughs along the way. The Herald is here to ensure those memories are never lost to time.
So, welcome to our new hall. Pull up a chair by the fire, grab a mug, and join us as we continue to write the saga of Gaiscioch—one story at a time.
With gratitude and fellowship,
Foghladha
Ceannard of Gaiscioch
Greetings Gaiscioch. Great to see the journal continuing on! Catch you in-game soon. Until then, have a great day!
