Happy 25th Birthday, Gaiscioch!
When you look back at the road we’ve walked, it seems like yesterday we were charging across the hills of Emain Macha. The epic battles in Praag, or even the slaying of Asha Catari in the capital city of Meridian, shine like beacons on our mantle. We have a quarter century of epic memories collected, and there’s no end in sight.
I have been eternally blessed to meet each and every one of you. With your own unique histories, preferences, sense of humor, and style, you bring life to this community. I am ever so grateful to you all for joining me in this thrilling adventure.
As our past has been set in stone, written firmly upon the history books, our next chapter is ours to pen. Where will we go? What will we do? What will we become? These are all questions I look forward to exploring the answers to with all of you.
A road such as this is best shared, experienced, and remembered. I look forward to the next 25 and hope you all will find a little piece of this community to love as much as I do. You all make this place special and have made an impact in all of our lives. Thank you for being here. Happy Birthday, Gaiscioch! Let’s see where this epic adventure takes us.

Gaiscioch For Extra Life Launches Friday!

Additionally, this year I’ll be doing a Donor raffle as well and be giving away some prizes to those who contribute $1 or more towards our goal.
This year we hope to raise $2,500 for the Children’s Miracle Network through the Extra Life Charity Event. You can be a hero by donating here.
Gaiscioch.com Improvements
New Onboarding System
Over the past month, I’ve rebuilt several systems, improving them to be more effective for the current direction we are moving.
Failte!
The Doorway to our community has been something I’ve been struggling with for a while. I just didn’t feel it landed the way I wanted it to. So I reworked it, over and over again, until I landed on this new vision of it. Going back to our roots in telling Irish Mythology to the masses, I came up with the concept of having the Tuatha Dé Danann play a bigger part in the overall lore of the community.
Upon landing on our new Failte section, you’ll be presented with a short introduction that you can read or listen to. Then you’ll have the option of choosing 2 options in a true RPG style: the secret word or request the secret word.
Once you have the secret word, you’ll move to the rules and credos to verify that you agree to them. Then you get to the new thinned-out member registration. I’ve stripped a lot of the bloat from the form as we no longer need a lot of it. You can still add all the info in your edit profile area if you like, but it’s not necessary to join the community and get started.
Enhancing Logins
The second half of the change revised the login system. This upped the password security to modern-day standards once again. This will automatically update when you log in next. It also allows you to log in with your email, username, or via Discord if you’ve linked it. Giving you more options to get into your account securely and as easy as possible.
We’ve also revamped the “Remember Me” feature to work better across various browsers. It even allows you to remember your login at multiple locations or devices separately now.
If by chance you’ve lost your password, the easy password reset section is there to help.
Event Manager System
This is another area I have given a refresh. Giving it a bit more modern feel and made it a bit easier to use. My hope is that this will help speed things up and improve people’s ability to make use of the system.
Livestream & Videos
Another improvement I made was our livestreams page, which can now be accessed from the Watch link at the top of our site. This section now dynamically reads our YouTube playlists to create pages filled with video content to keep you up to date. We have sections for all of our shows and even a feed for new MMO and Coop titles coming down the pipeline.
Foghladha Event Schedule Changeups
This month my schedule is going to be rearranged a bit. For the remainder of the year, my events may be spotty at best, as family, work, travel, and doctors will be a big part of the next two months. Here is my tentative plan for events over the next two months.

6:00 PM PT: CB: Territory Wars
8:30 PM PT: CB: The War Report
Wednesday:
5:00 PM PT: World of Warcraft Forever
Thursday:
5:00 PM PT: ArcheAge Chronicles
Friday:
4:00 PM PT: Guild Wars 2 WvW
Saturday:
4:00 PM PT: CB: New Player Training
6:00 PM PT: CB: Territory Wars
8:30 PM PT: CB: The War Report
Upcoming Adventures
This is a very big month for us. Right on the heels of Aion 2’s launch comes the next big adventure, World of Warcraft: Forever. We’re not entirely sure which of these is going to keep the attention of the masses, but I intend to support both until people move on to something else.
That said, here’s our World of Warcraft: Forever launch plan.
World of Warcraft: Forever
Taking over where we left off with Classic, Forever will be taking the mantle of our World of Warcraft chapter. Based on the buzz within the community and the interest from outside players wanting to join us here, it’s looking like we’ll be around the 200-300 range within the first week, population-wise.
We set the trading post up for classic and can port it over the resources we already entered to save some time. Some items may have changed, so we may need to make some updates.

Chapters & Adventures
Guild Wars 2
Guild Wars 2 is in for another round of balance changes and a WvW Map this fall. For the months of November and December, I will be dropping down to just my WvW Event on Fridays and then pick back up our new player-themed event in the new year. There have just been too many conflicts lately to make it dependable.
Be sure to enjoy the holiday events as they are great sources of loot, currency, and memories. GmaFog, Darcy, and Mika continue to host several events every week for your enjoyment. Be sure to stop by your favorite events and support the community.
Remember, ANYONE can invite to Gaiscioch, so if you make a friend, welcome them to join us. The more the merrier!
Conqueror’s Blade
This season we’re causing some waves. Already, alliances that knew us as the peaceful alliance, yet the same ones who constantly hit us for no reason, are complaining because we’re attacking them without them provoking us.
This season we are all in for war. We’ve allied Vigilantes and VANGUARD to leave our mark on the world and stop waiting for houses to come at us because they had a bad day. We’re striking first and working towards our seasonal goals. Will our path lead us to the gates of the capital once again? That is uncertain.
All we know right now is we need more reinforcements that are bloodthirsty and ready to roleplay the heck out of this Aztec-themed season cause there will be human sacrifice! :D Well, at least Avatar sacrifice :P. Regardless, this will be a season of violence, and maybe it will get people to think before they attack next time. We’re revisiting each of the alliances that chronically hit us unprovoked and giving them a taste of our blades. So far it’s working.
We’ve been dominating the Leaderboard, but that will likely change as we move into the second half of the season. Things are about to intensify, and what we’ve been doing with 40 people won’t be enough on the road ahead.
Join us for some fun, mayhem, and glorious siege!
Aion 2
What started as a curiosity has exploded into a full Aion 2 community. We went from wondering if we would even fill up to hitting the guild cap within 24 hours. Even with rotating people out at 7 days, the guild remains hard capped most days. As soon as spots open, they get filled. I suspect it might slow down in the next month, and we’ll be able to breathe a little. For now, several of our members are hosting events in endgame dungeons, the abyss, and world boss trains. Feel free to join us and have some fun!
Enshrouded
Enshrouded has finally launched officially with its 1.0 release. A group of Gaiscioch has decided to partake in some weekend runs hosted by Mika on Saturdays at 11 AM PT. The server goes online for 2 hours each week to make sure nobody speeds along progression faster than the group desires.
Soulframe
Soulframe has announced that Preludes will hit Open Beta on November 6th, just in time for our Extra Life event! This means that everyone can get a chance to dive in and check out this beautiful game. Be sure to join our adventure and let’s see if we can get some groups going!
