Our strongest, longest-lived chapter of all time continues to drive forward with several player-hosted events each week. This month we were given the final chapter of the Visions of Eternity expansion. Join us as we explore this new content as we wait for the host of bountiful seasonal events to make their way to our keyboard.

Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity concludes with the “Code of Creation” update, taking players deep beneath Castora into the new Leyspring Hollows map for six final story chapters confronting Vloxx, Kuda, and the Inquest. The release adds the challenging Depths of Cruelty open-world meta-event, the Nexus of Eternity as both a new 10-player raid encounter and large-group Convergence, and the five-player Solitary Throne fractal. Players can also pursue the new Wages of Stars legendary sword, unlock the Rift Amplification mastery line to teleport through and overcharge rifts for tougher encounters and greater rewards, collect six new relics, armor and weapon sets, achievements, and refreshed Wizard’s Vault rewards. Challenge Modes for the raid, Convergence, and fractal arrive September 29, followed by a Legendary Mode for Nexus of Eternity on October 13.

Guild Wars 2

With Guild Wars 3 now confirmed on the horizon, I feel it’s best to address many of your concerns. Yes, when Guild Wars 3 launches, we will roll a chapter into it; however, we will not be abandoning Guild Wars 2. The two games tell different stories in the history of Guild Wars and play an essential part in our community’s history. We will embrace all Guild Wars as part of our ecosystem; from Guild Wars to Guild Wars 2 to Guild Wars 3, you can count on us being involved.

Our friends Colin Johanson, Stephen Clarke-Willson, and Josh Daivs put out a wonderful video about their Commitment to Guild Wars, and we fully support ArenaNet in this.

As we grow into our future with the Guild Wars universe, we will be hosting several fun events in both Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars Reforged to help people experience the past and the future before we dive into the distant past and see Orr in its full glory. Be sure to stay connected on Gaiscioch.com and on our Discord for more information and event reminders.

Before we go, be sure to mark September 15th on your calendar as that appears to be the drop day for Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity: Code of Creation. This comes to us from a YouTube short by Jason Spisak, the voice of Vloxx.

Conqueror’s Blade

Now that the Three Kingdoms wave has passed, we will begin refocusing our efforts on Conqueror’s Blade. It’s obvious that 3K is not a replacement or even a competitor to CB. Doesn’t even compare in scope and scale.

Conqueror’s Blade is now in its 7th year, and our community is still going strong. Like Guild Wars 2, it has endured the test of time, surpassing many of our former chapters. Providing us with many epic memories and unforgettable moments.

The road ahead looks good for us. Over the next season, we will be refining our new role system and working towards refining it. We will be working on getting new recruits, and I’ll be looking for a few veterans willing to take some squires under their wing and coach them. We will need to build a strong base that we can grow from.

Let’s charge into season 28 with ambition and poise and prepare for the next year of epic warfare in Conqueror’s Blade.

Conqueror’s Blade: Three Kingdoms

While we came for a season in 3K, we do not plan to continue with the game next season. This first month of CB3K has been rough to say the least.

Fortunately, we found our way into the alliance that owns everything and can coast the rest of the season exploring the content at our leisure. The population has dwindled to the point the game is largely vacant, and there is little to no danger in exploring the world as you like. We will continue to round up as many survivors as we can to try to build at least one flourishing community.

There were a lot of really neat concepts in 3k like the lore-filled world map, fief upgrading, and the streamlined crafting system that I do hope make their way to Conqueror’s Blade. But the combat, unit control, clunkiness, insane fps drops, and lag can all disappear, and nobody would miss it.

This all is tentative, and I still have hopes things will improve, but as of right now, it’s not looking good for its longevity.

Summer is in full heat at this point, and this past month has been packed with news. Both wonderful and terrible.

On the good side, we have new game launches on the horizon, including Conqueror’s Blade Three Kingdoms and Aion 2. In addition, I’m making my eSports Debut with the Conqueror’s Blade League (CBL), and we have a wealth of new content drops and announcements to look forward to as GamesCon and PAX West approach.

On the not-so-good side, Microsoft gutted its gaming division with massive layoffs, reducing a huge portion of the ESO team. A lot of games have been shelved, and entire studios have been shuttered.

Let’s jump in, and I’ll fill ya in!

Conqueror’s Blade Three Kingdoms Launches July 24th

In what probably is one of the most vague and confusing launches, a new spinoff launches July 24th. The announcements thus far have been contradictory, vague, and somewhat poorly translated.

What I can tell you from my own personal experience is that Three Kingdoms is like Conqueror’s Blade except much grander in scale. Battles twice the size of the original, a more lore-filled experience. New Spirit-based weapon system where you harness the spirit of heroes famous from the Three Kingdoms era. Overall, my experience playing it was good. I had a lot of fun and have hopes that the rest of the game is amplified as well.

It’s built on the proprietary Chaos 2.0 engine and features its own unit and weapon lineup. Territory Wars take place every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Gaiscioch in Three Kingdoms

Gaiscioch will be joining forces with several big-name front-running houses like VANGUARD from Elysium Peak to fill the logistics arm of a new alliance within our faction. We will be participating in at least 1 war per week and have several events to help build our kingdom and explore the world for new units and lore items.

Since this game runs entirely separate from Conqueror’s Blade, I’ve broken it off into its own adventure and have begun setting up a Discord section for it. I will also be adding a Three Kingdoms role to unlock the section on Discord.

Be sure to join the adventure to get connected with the community.

Foghladha Debuts in the Conqueror’s Blade eSports League

After last season’s push to the capital, the Disciples’ liege and leader of the Exalted Few eSports team, Clown, asked if I would be interested in trying out for the Exalted Few team. I passed with flying colors and have been slotted on the roster, currently as a reserve.

Here is where I can learn from the pros, witness endgame starts in action, and gain insider knowledge on how the endgame is played.

The Conqueror’s Blade League (CBL) is CB’s version of an eSports Tournament with a cash prize pool of $60,000 in the pot for the winning team and is hosted by the developers Booming Games. It will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch in multiple languages.

Aion 2 Prepares for Launch

The sequel to Aion 2 prepares to launch next month, and Gaiscioch plans to send an expedition into it to see if it’s a suitable environment for our community. We will be launching into a North American server on the Elyos faction.

In Aion, we played on the Asmodian faction and dove into the dark half-world filled with strife and survival. This time we plan to go Elyos and experience the lighter side of the Aion world. This way we get to know both sides of the story and see what the other faction is like.

You can pre-order now on Steam, though the game will be Free-to-Play with an optional subscription. There has been a lot of commotion about the subscription being required to really advance in the game, but I am going to reserve my judgement until I see the game in action.

Conqueror’s Blade 2.0:
Three Kingdoms Reinvents Warfare

Release: June 2026 | Type: MMORPG | Learn More

Saying it’s another season in Conqueror’s Blade is a gross understatement. The newest version of Conqueror’s Blade rebuilt the game from the ground up. New Graphics, New Engine, New Mechanics, New World Map, New always-on Territory Wars system, 4 New Weapons, 4 Reimagined Weapons, a new Faction system, and much, much more. This is the equivalent of when Guild Wars became Guild Wars 2 without calling it a new game or expansion. The whole game in its entirety is different. So different it has its own client.

As a precaution, Booming, in its wisdom, decided to run the Existing Conqueror’s Blade with the new units and weapons alongside the new 2.0 version for a season just in case all hell broke loose and the world hated the new version. This is something I wish more developers would do when pushing sweeping changes onto a successful game. We’ve seen it go wrong more times than it goes well. A few others that have pulled this off successfully are Final Fantasy XIV, No Man’s Sky, Albion Online and Black Desert. All of these found that sometimes your game just needs to change directions and pivot to come out on top.

Gaisicoch plans to launch a 2.0 version of the community alongside its main classic version so that we can see the new features in action before they inevitably come to the original game. This marks a whole new era of siege warfare, and the best siege warfare game available is stepping it up a notch to give games on the horizon like Anvil Empires, Camelot Unchained, Mithrall, and Bellatores a run for their money.

Conqueror’s Blade

Gaiscioch Captured Conqueror's City!

In a really, really, really unexpected plot twist, the Gaiscioch found them alone in their alliance with a rare shot at the capital… With nobody else even qualified to attack it. Well… we put our hand in that cookie jar and claimed the capital for a whole 23 minutes. The Gaiscioch banner flew proud and high as the Endgame houses looked in amazement… or was it confusion? Then they murdered us and stored our corpses in the cellar. But we were there!

We were then joined by Latium and Disciples, who helped us keep our last remaining gate until the end of the season. They turned out to be a lot of fun to play with and taught us a lot.

It was quite the experience to see the whole server take sides. Some praised us, some made it their mission to make us fall. It was quite telling. Several friends revealed themselves as friends of convenience, and their true intentions became very public.

Overall, I’m really proud of the community and what we achieved this season as we laid CB 1.0 to rest and said hello to CB 2.0. For more on our season, read A View From the Top.

Next season we’ll be returning to our peaceful ways and working on another record-breaking fief. This time, we aim at a rank 9 town, which has yet to be done on Elysium Peak.

Join the Siege!

Over the course of our 26 seasons in Conqueror’s Blade, we have gone from a timid farming community that relied entirely on peace and diplomacy for our survival. Facing off with titan houses like Brutal, MING, Durrandon, Gaia, and many others. Through years of practice, combat training, and perseverance, our community flourished as one of the premier communities to learn the ropes and grow.

Looking back at the warriors we trained and sent off into the world, you’ll find iSecret, now leader of the iKingdom, iWyn, who is a major shot caller and occasional leader of WarForged, EliteJokerr, now plays for the UndyingWolves, GodnJapanForLife fights for UNfamous, DrakeShadows with the Regulatorz, and the list goes on. We are proud of these members and cheer their victories as they pursue their own path. Thousands of members have passed through our training community.

This is what makes us unique in the world of Conqueror’s Blade. We don’t treat people as property or possessions. We do not get salty when someone leaves to follow their passion. We build warriors that we expect will someday outgrow us and go off into the world and carve their own path in history. It is our goal, our focus, our passion.

To those who stayed to help defend the cause, Thank You. It has been a tremendous journey, and we would not be as successful as we are without you guys. I especially want to thank Izmina, ZoogieZork, EvolMitsu, Erholue, Donaliam, Radiologikal, Warchild, GunnHag, and DemiBeard for going on this crazy adventure with me, keeping us alive and moving forward since the early days of the game. You folks are true champions of Gaiscioch, and my admiration will always be yours.

Our Journey So Far

As Season 26 comes to a close, our Farmer Rebellion will soon rest. We can look back at our achievements over the years. In our early days, we settled in the Westweg area in Western Ostaria. Here, we built our very first rank 6 village at Westweg in season 2. Later in season 5, we’d take over the mountain village of Kuanggong and break that record with a rank 8 village, the only village to ever be rank 8 in Conqueror’s Blade. A record that still today stands tall.

All in all, Gaiscioch has built 45 record-breaking fiefs; our alliance, Hibernia, as a whole has 61 records. This season, 26: Echo, took all of our practice building fiefs and put them to the test. As the positioning round for the Conqueror’s City neared, our friend SOUP of the house Kitchen offered his land in the Borderlands to us, which somehow we managed to not only build a plan in less than 30 minutes, but also move to the area we were targeting, secure every one of our target fiefs, and even defend it from an incoming onslaught. At the end of the war, we were sitting about 1,500 prestige below the requirement to attack the Conqueror’s City.

Our friend Tgriff, the Liege of Regulatorz of the alliance NewWorldOrder, wrote me the morning of May 11th with the following.

This was the turning point, when Conqueror’s City was no longer a fantasy goal but a pure directive. Gaiscioch rallied their focuse under a single banner of Gaiscioch, having both GaisciochDubh’s Territory Wars players and OrderOfValors Territory Wars players all merge into Gaiscioch so that we could bring in 2 more houses to help us hold whatever we might take.

The timers were not in our favor, however, as we would need to endure the first war on our own without help. The first hurdle was clearing 1,500 reputation in less than 2 days. We called in every favor to our friends, fans, and countrymen, and somehow Gaiscioch not only earned the 1,500 we ended, but we ended up blowing every other house out of the water in the race, making us the only ones to actually contend for the capital at the start of the war.

We quickly secured all gates and then Conqueror’s City with zero resistance from the Legions. But then Warriors of NotLikeUs came storming through two of our gates, to which we found ourselves severely outmatched by the best alliance on the server. They quickly took the gates and launched their assault on Conqueror’s City. We endured 23 minutes as kings of Conqueror’s City. This was 23 more minutes than we ever dreamed possible, and we did it on our own. Nobody carried us, nobody did the work for us. We made the play, and we had a blast doing it.

The following war, Disciples and Latium would join us, and we would begin hammering the Conqueror’s City. Unfortunately, we would not see the city again, but we did have a tremendous season of glorious battle, newfound friendships, and huge, memorable experiences. We ended the season with the Gate of Earth, 3 Forts, 4 Towns, and 3 Villages, totalling 6,100 prestige. We faced off against Warriors, UNFamous, ForbiddenCity, WarForged, ImperialGuard, NoEvil, MortalConqBat, and RobberBarrons.

The season was a huge moment in Gaiscioch history as we turned a season where everyone was using us as their carpet to wipe their feet on, to a season where the server exploded with factions, divides among the player base, and overall hype and rivalry over the rise of our little Farmer Rebellion.

The Next Chapter

As Conqueror’s Blade 2.0 makes its way to the center stage, we will be refining the community for a season. This next season, 27: Three Kingdoms, will be focused on honing our abilities, becoming more organized, and building a new system that engages members, rewards them, and encourages them to progress in the community.

Gaiscioch - The Gatehouse

Upon the launch of season 27, Gaiscioch will become the entryway to Gaiscioch. In this house, members will gain Mentors (From our GaisciochDubh Players), they will be encouraged to join our Discord, attend Territory Wars, and register on our website.

DUTY:

• Noble - Members who have attended Territory Wars this Week

• Knight - Members who have registered and joined Discord.

• Cadet - Members who have not joined Discord or Registered to Gaiscioch.com

Once a member has met the following qualifications, they will be ceremoniously promoted to GaisciochDubh, our Elite Band of Warriors, after their next Territory Wars appearance.

• Registered at Gaiscioch.com

• Joined Discord

• Attended 5 Territory Wars

After each Territory Wars, we will rally back at home base as a community and welcome our newest Dubh’s to the fold.

GaisciochDubh - The Barracks

Members of GaisciochDubh will be the primary war force of Hibernia; they will be focused on specific roles this season. We will be building our new Battalions with this setup.

1. 🛡️ Shieldman

   1. Frontline: Spartan Chosen or Imperial Spearmen

   2. Defensive: Symmachena Stalwarts or Sunward Phalanx

   3. Assault: Shield Maidens, Myrmillions, or Spear Seargents

2. 🔱 Pikemen

   1. Defensive: Modao Battalion or Sunward Phalanx

   2. Backline Protection: Orochi Samurai or Lancastrian Billmen

   3. Frontline: Symmachen Stalwarts or Imperial Pikemen

   4. Blue Season or Extra Leadership: Halberdiers or Rattan Pikemen

3. ⚔️ Linebreakers

   1. Spartans or Iron Reapers

   2. Claymores or Zealots

   3. Myrmillions, Symmachean Paladins, or Malberd Elite

   4. Blue Season: Condottieri Guards, Mace Sergeants, or Prefecture Guards

4. 🔥 Specialists

   1. Lionroar Crew, Siphonarioi

   2. Hwarang or Shenji Grenadiers

   3. Zykillian Militia, Incendiary Archers, Rattan Vipers, or Rattan Pikemen

   4. Blue Season: Ironcap Archers, Ironcap Arquebusiers

5. 🐴 Cavalrymen

   1. Liao’s Rangers or Order of the Dragon

   2. Winged Hussars, Monastic Knights, Xuanjia Heavy Cavalry, Yanyuedao Enforcer or Cataphract Lancers (If fighting Ranged Heavy foes)

   3. Yorkist Household Knights, Prefecture Heavy Cavalry, Yeoman, or Camel Lancers

GaisciochGlas - The Reinforcements

Upon the launch of Season 27, all Alternate Characters will migrate to GaisciochGlas and serve as an auxiliary force for our alliance. We will attempt to capture a Horse Node with our GaisciochGlas characters to provide a source of Income to fund our questing operations.

The Battalions

We will be building Battalions as such:

🟦 Lugh Battalion - The Speartip - Gaiscioch

25 of our Newest Squires and their Knights. This is the Proving Grounds where young warriors prove their mettle. This battalion will be focused on Village Defense and Assault.

• First Division [15] - Primary Village Defense Force. We will begin finding roles for players and getting them trained in how to fulfill those roles. Members who excel and show consistency will be promoted to GaisciochDubh.
  Group Leaders:

  • Foghladha

  • Lotheym

• Second Division [15] - The second division will be the muster whose sole job is to delay long enough for the First Division to remuster into the fight. Focusing on Siege Elimination and hero execution.

  • Alaois

🟩 Nuada Battalion - The Vanguard - GaisciochDubh

The Top 25 of our Most Consistent & Fiercest Warriors focused on Town Assault & Defense.

• First Division [15] - The First Wave with focus on Sheildmen, Pikemen, Linebreakers, and Specialists.
  Group Leaders:

  • ZoogieZork

  • EvolMitsu

  • cridict

• Second Division [10] - The Surgical Strike and Muster. Focused on Cavalrymen, Specialists, Linebreakers, and Shieldmen to help reinforce the First Division. You will be the Muster with a focus on damage control and perseverance. The muster group should have Shieldmen, Pikemen, and Linebreakers with a focus on delaying the offensive until the First Battalion can load in again. For this stack of 10 Warriors, I would like to place our Short Sword, Bastard Sword, Poleaxe, and Maul players who keep cool under pressure, have a good eye for flanks, and work as a unit to break lines. They will often be going into the fight and need to recover X or secure the final.
  Group Leaders:

  • Warchild

  • LordDonkey

🟪 Morrigan Battalion - The Raven - GaisciochDubh

This is 10 of our fastest-moving cavalry players that can keep eyes on our land and respond to hits quickly to delay for help to arrive. On occasion, they may secure villages with Ground Units if needed. This battalion is fast, agile, and good at reporting movements of our foes.

• First Division [10] - Primary ERT & Scouting Force. Act as first responders, aiming to distract and defend long enough for help to arrive. Primarily cavalry with Camels for pikes and Yorkist Knights for quick response.
  Leaders:

  • Donaliam

  • Izmina

🟧 Dagda Battalion - Backline Brawlers - GaisciochGlas

Formerly known as our Raccoon Battalion, the Great Dagda only awakes from his slumber when it’s time to Club someone. Our Alt Battalion will camp out in strategic locations, ready to spring into action.

What About OrderOfValor?

This season, we decided that we wanted to focus on refining our processes, defensive strategy, and tactics without affecting another house. We did not want to force OOV to go without land or hold a single village. They need to work on their assault strategies as well as defense strategies, and will be going a bit more aggressively next season. Gaiscioch, however, will be coiling up like a rattlesnake, focusing on a small foothold until the end of the season, where we will aim to expand with what we’ve built.

In season 28, we plan to bring OrderOfValor and Gaiscioch back together, with each of us in a better place of strength. This is not a breakup or divorce, this is going off to bootcamp to better ourselves so that we can as a whole accomplish more.

Prepare Yourselves

The next season is aiming to be another one filled with loot and glory, and while we certainly won’t be aiming at any capitals this season, we will be aiming to break some new records. The goal of this season is to become strong enough to hold onto a town as we upgrade it to rank 9. We want to create the world’s first Rank 9 town, or in true Gaiscioch fashion, a Rank 10 town.

By keeping our territory small, our defense focused, and choosing the right fief to pull it off, we can break our first record of the new age.

Here’s what we’ll need to break the record:

• Rank 9: 843,000 Resources

• Rank 10: 1,243,000 Resources

Join us for an Epic Season of Growth and Perseverance!

Please feel free to leave some feedback. If you like the idea or hate the idea, I really want to know. For those joining CB or returning to CB, be sure to use the Code: S26CB030 for some free loot in the in-game menu before the new season begins.

I’ll see you on the battlefield! Slan go Foill!

This month has been a challenging one for me. As you’ve noticed, I’ve missed a few events. Both my wife and I are taking advantage of our new healthcare and taking care of a lot of the longstanding things we never could afford. Like rehabbing my right shoulder that has been dislocated twice, and the hip flexor that I partially tore in 2019. Finally, going to physical therapy has also encouraged me to go back to the gym and strengthen the joints we are working on. Both my wife and I have been seeing quite a few doctors lately, which has made my schedule rather tentative at best. It should normalize soon, and I’ll be back on a regular schedule.

With summer coming up, we can expect a bit of a dip in activity as we normally do, but for those of us who are gaming, we’ll have quite a few fun things to play. We have Steam NextFest (June 15) coming and the Summer Game Fest (June 5th) right on the horizon.

Meet Rabby the Tabby, Feral #33

To add more festivities to my festive life, we rescued feral cat #33, which we have dubbed Rabby. This one is almost certainly an abandoned cat that was dumped in our nearby forest. He doesn’t strike, he’s litter box trained, and he loves affection. We heard him meow for the first time a day in.

He had an abscess on his face where it looked like he had been scratched in a fight. He had several scars and cuts on him from outdoor life. We took him in and got him neutered and vaccinated as well as cleaned up with a full round of antibiotics. We’re helping him recover now and hope to place him in a home soon.

If anyone is local and would like an indoor-only cat who is loving and affectionate, let me know. We will likely have him placed in a home by the end of May. He’s already home-ready and progressed through our feral-to-friendly program in days, not weeks. He’s ready for love.

Pacific Northwest Summer Meetup 2026

Join Gaiscioch at the Canterbury Renaissance Faire in Silverton, Oregon, on July 26th for the 2026 Gaiscioch Pacific Northwest Meetup. We will meet up at the food court at 1 PM.

The Canterbury Renaissance Faire is an invitation to participate in an imaginative interactive environment modeled on elements from a plausible Summer Market Faire from the era of “Good Queen Bess” (Elizabeth I, 1558-1603). We see it create an interactive stage where faire goers can experience the sights and sounds, science, entertainments, crafts, and lifestyles of Elizabethan Village Folk, celebrating the best of their village life.

April 2026 Gaiscioch.com Updates

Over the past month, I’ve been optimizing a few more Gaiscioch.com scripts and have removed the requirements for Leadership and Fellowship for progression, moving our system to a more flat-line progression system.

I’ve also built a 100-level system for community progression that will unlock new titles for you and provide you with your role in the community.

The Roles will be assigned as follows:

• Level 1: New Member

• Level 10: Member

• Level 20: Veteran Member

• Level 30: Guardian

• Level 40: Warlord

• Level 50: Legend

Each level you game has a unique Celtic theme title. Level 100 is set to 2.5 million exp (Honor points), which is a bar that is far too high for me on purpose. There is no change in role after level 50, just more titles. Level 50 is set to 150,000, which is where the Laoch rank currently lives.

What happens to Fellowship / Leadership and Artisan, Scholar, Discovery, and Social points?

These will become a chart that shows you where your point distribution comes from. All of these will build your XP points, and you can use any of those old systems to earn points towards your levels.

How will the new pathways work?

I’m setting up the new system to group adventures and activities into specific pathways or Houses. Each will have a primary House associated with it. For example:

• Guild Wars 2 = Mysticism

• Conqueror’s Blade = Warfare

• Guild Wars 2 WvW = Warfare

• Dune Awakening = Discovery

• Enshrouded = Artisanship

• Delta Force = Shadows

Games will be assigned a primary House. Then activity types can also be assigned a House, so PvP siege events can be attributed to Warfare, while other activities in-game are assigned to Mysticism.

The Houses:

• House of Mysticism - Fantasy & Medieval

• House of Warfare - Siege Warfare

• House of Artisanship - Survival & Crafting

• House of Discovery - Sci-Fi and Exploration

• House of Shadows - Tactical & Strategy

Each of these houses will have 20 titles that can be earned by progressing through the ranks of each house.

Devotion Ranks

We will be showing the length of time you’ve been an active member of the community by upgrading your avatar frame. Launching with the new avatar system, these avatar frames will unlock as you continue to log in to Gaiscioch.com. Devotion is based on the number of days you’ve logged into Gaiscioch.com. Your timer continues to run as long as you log in once per week. If you go AFK for an extended period of time, your timer will stop and continue when you return.

1. Sailetheach (Stag) - 7 days

2. Faolchu (Wolf) - 30 days

3. Capall (Horse) - 90 days

4. Iompróidh (Bear) - 180 days

5. Fhiaigh (Raven) - 360 days

6. Aracos (Hawk) - 720 days

7. Ulchabhán (Owl) - 1,080 days

8. Iolair (Eagle) - 1,440 days

9. Griobhta (Griffin) - 2,700 days

10. Arach (Dragon) - 3,650 days

Tying it all together

There will be a new Titles section on your profile where you can choose which title you’d like to display below your name, similar to how you can in most MMOs. You can choose from the various titles you’ve unlocked. All in all, I am working to turn Gaiscioch into a Meta-MMORPG where you can level up by playing MMORPG & Cooperative games together. I even hope to create some fun web-based games to play eventually to help share the history of Gaiscioch and share the real mythology behind it.

Guild Wars 2

Pack your potions and perfect those jumps - Super Adventure Festival kicks off April 14!. Are you buffed and powered up for the adventure ahead?

In addition, the next big update on the horizon for Guild Wars 2 is the April 14, 2026, Balance Update, which is being dubbed the “Nerf Giganuke” by the community. Following the launch of the Visions of Eternity expansion, this patch is a direct response to the massive power creep that saw support builds hitting 40k+ DPS and top-tier specs pushing 50k. The primary focus is reigning in “egregious” expansion builds across all professions—particularly targeting the Elementalist, Necromancer, and Engineer—to prevent players from skipping critical mechanics in raids and fractals. Beyond the heavy-handed balance tuning, the update also brings refinements to the Fashion panel (including new right-click “Get Equipped Fashion” options) and carries forward the WvW War Score overhaul from March, which significantly increased the value of escorting and killing dolyaks to encourage more active map participation.

Where Winds Meet

The Version 1.5 “As Snow Falls” update for Where Winds Meet (released April 1, 2026) is headlined by the debut of Liangzhou, the game’s first snow-covered region. This massive expansion introduces the Heng Blade, a precision-based traditional weapon, alongside new regional bosses and the “Liangzhou Melody” narrative arc. The update also moves the game into Season 2: Rewind, adding high-stakes limited-time events like the “Dreadful Grace” challenge and social minigames like “Faster” and “Higher” for exclusive rewards. Performance-wise, the patch includes significant cross-play optimizations for mobile and PC, server stability fixes for the “Together” co-op mode, and a character level cap increase to Level 90, allowing players to dive into Tier 86 legendary gear progression.

Soulmask

The Soulmask 1.0 full release (launching April 10, 2026) is a massive milestone that transitions the game out of Early Access with a focus on endgame evolution and massive world expansion. The headline addition is the “Shifting Sands” DLC (free for the first month), which introduces a sprawling Egyptian-themed map featuring anti-gravity solar barges that serve as mobile flying bases. For the core game, the most significant improvements include “Mimicry Ascension,” which allows players to channel god-like ultimate abilities, and a total Tribesmen AI overhaul that introduces a “Training Ground” to pass down elite talents and a more efficient automated management system. Additionally, 1.0 brings four new masks (Horus, Anubis, Sobek, and Amun-Ra), smarter NPC behavior, and three distinct game modes (Survival, Tribe, and Warrior) to tailor the difficulty and automation to your specific playstyle.

Dawn of Defiance

The 0.4.0.0 “Wandering Spartans” update for Dawn of Defiance is a major technical and content milestone, most notably moving the game to Unreal Engine 5.7 to significantly boost performance and lighting. The update introduces the Cyclops as a formidable new world boss and adds Wandering Spartans, a new NPC faction that creates more dynamic encounters across the islands. Players can also expect a complete overhaul of the Desert biome and the Poseidon raid experience, alongside major quality-of-life additions like DLSS 4.5 support, a new batch of household decor buildables, and a refined melee combat system with new weapon hilts and better hit registration. This patch marks a shift in development towards more frequent, separate biome overhauls and raid releases throughout 2026.

Dune Awakening

The April 2026 Developer Update for Dune: Awakening marks a major strategic shift toward a “PvE-first” open-world survival experience, a change driven by data showing that over 80% of the player base avoids PvP. The upcoming Patch 1.3.20.0 will disable PvP in the Hagga Basin on all official worlds and introduce separate PvE-only Deep Desert instances, allowing players to explore and harvest spice without the threat of player combat. For those who still crave conflict, dedicated PvP instances will remain, now featuring a 2.5x resource yield modifier to reward the higher risk. Additionally, the update officially announces the rollout of self-hosted private servers, giving players granular control over harvest rates, building limits, and decay settings, though the initial experimental version requires a relatively technical setup using Windows Pro and Hyper-V. See the official blog post for details.

StarRupture

The StarRupture Update 1, which officially launched today (April 9, 2026), is a massive expansion that significantly builds out the game’s automation and exploration loops. The most notable additions are the Zipline mechanic for faster traversal and the Development Station, which serves as a new hub for unlocking advanced tech. The world has grown with an increased map size featuring new unlockable zones and the introduction of wildlife—including the Vulpir, Coralion, and Skylisk—to make the environment feel less vacant. On the production side, the update adds over 40 new items and recipes, alongside “v.2” higher-tier buildings like the Compounder and Fabricator to handle more complex late-game pipelines. Players can also explore expanded Corporation Levels for better rewards and utilize new infrastructure like the Oil Extractor and Radial Rail Connectors to further optimize their planetary operations.

Learn More

Grey Zone Warfare

The 0.4 “Spearhead” update for Gray Zone Warfare is a massive overhaul that focuses on gameplay readability, depth, and world-building. The most significant improvements include a complete rework of the task and progression system, featuring over 100 new missions and a revised map that allows players to accept tasks directly without returning to base. The world itself has expanded with 25+ new locations and biomes (like swamps and bamboo forests), while the AI has been redesigned into seven distinct factions, each with unique gear, behavior, and “boss” enemies. Combat feel has also been refined through a ballistics and health overhaul, adding more visible hit reactions, revamped sound design for better directional audio, and a rebalanced economy to move players away from the “M4 meta.” Finally, the update introduces a dedicated tutorial and significant performance optimizations, making the game more accessible and stable for lower-end hardware.

Far Far West

Far Far West (from the creators of Pumpkin Jack) is a “weird west” 1–4 player co-op extraction shooter where you play as robotic bounty hunters. The early access launch is set for April 26th. The core loop centers on taking contracts from the Town Sheriff, hunting down supernatural targets across biomes like the Far Far North and haunted canyons, and escaping via hover train. The biggest draw is the Spell-Casting System, which allows for elemental combos—like using a firebeam on an acid puddle to create a fire tornado. This launch version includes a revamped mission rotation (e.g., “Escort Dynamite”), a Joker Card loadout system for tactical modifiers (think low-health buffs or headshot confetti), and a social hub town with a saloon and shooting range to upgrade your gear and your mechanical steed.

A Dramatic February Comes to a Close

The Games Industry Lost Its Mind a Little This Month.

This month was a bit of a massacre when it came to the tech/gaming industry. Let’s break down a few of the big stories.

Microsoft loses Phil Spencer & Sarah Bond, Replaces them with Microsoft AI Exec Asha Sharma

Phil Spencer began his Microsoft journey in 1988 and helped them launch the original XBOX in 2001. He was a legend in the industry and has decided to retire. On his heels came the announcement of XBOX President Sarah Bond’s resignation and the appointment of Microsoft AI Executive Asha Sharma to fill the role of Microsoft Gaming’s CEO.

This caused a massive uproar, as Asha Sharma has no gaming experience at all, with all of her experience coming from AI, her engineering at Meta and Instacart, and she serves as a board member for Home Depot.

IGN posted a wonderful article about the topic that I encourage everyone to give a read. Time will tell what fate awaits the Microsoft Gaming Lineup, which includes Elder Scrolls Online, World of Warcraft, and future MMORPGs.

New World’s Second Coming?

In another dramatic turn of events, Alistair McFarlane, the game director of Rust, has offered to buy New World from Amazon for $25 million dollars. In the following weeks, he announced that he had now signed an NDA and can no longer discuss the potential sale. We will have to just wait and see what comes of this. Can New World have a second life? What are your thoughts?

Read more about this dramatic plot twist

The Elephant in the Room: Ashes of Creation

This, by far, is the most dramatic twist of the month that affects a good chunk of our community. Ashes of Creation was a game that had some serious potential for our community, and now it seems like a far-fetched glimmer of dust in a forgotten galaxy.

There’s been a lot of discussion about this and a lot of misinformation and snowballed conclusions. I think in the coming months, as the multiple lawsuits playout we’ll see the true story emerge, but as it stands now, all we know is Steven Sharrif exited stage left in the most dramatic way. His leadership team then resigned as well. The new owners of the IP laid off the entire team without pay, and Ashes now drifts online until the servers go dark forever.

Accusations flew from all parties involved. The truth will likely come out through the court cases. For now, everything is just speculation and assumptions. We won’t know the whole story until the court cases are completed. For now, grab the popcorn and let’s commiserate with each other on the loss of one of the most promising looking MMO’s we’ve had in a while.

The Great AI Resignation

While not specifically about gaming, I think it’s going to have a profound effect on the industry all the same. This past month, we saw a number of key players in the AI Sector resign from their positions:

• Mrinank Sharma | Head of Safeguards | Anthropic | Left with Ethical concerns & stark "world in peril" warning

• David Silver | Chief Scientist | DeepMind | Leaving to found Ineffable Intelligence

• Zoë Hitzig | Researcher | OpenAI | Opposition to ads in ChatGPT

• Ryan Beiermeister | VP Product Policy | OpenAI |Fired for her opposition to "Adult Mode" & Safety concerns

• Tony Wu & Jimmy Ba | Co-Founders | xAI | Left due to their strategic shifts and looking towards their “Next chapter”

• Geoffrey Hinton | Godfather of AI | Google

I believe this is just the tip of the iceberg, and we will be seeing many more in the coming months. These companies have been operating at multi-billion dollar losses, and the bubble is about to pop. We will see who survives.

What’s Going On in Gaiscioch?

Overall, our community is growing and exploring several new worlds.

Conqueror’s Blade

Server: Elysium Peak | Guild: Gaiscioch & GaisciochDubh

The war continues as we wrap up our 25th season this week. We have 2 wars left, and so far, we’re looking pretty solid going into the final week. We’ve faced off against Warborn, ImperialGuard, NoEvil, and the Cohorts in the past few weeks and came out on top. Things are really heating up for our final showdown.

In addition to the close of the 25th season Roses, the announcement of the next season is generating some massive hype. Dubbed “Conqueror’s Blade 2.0,” we’re looking at a massive rework of gameplay systems and even territory wars. I will be paying close attention to the changes and will bring you an exclusive issue focused on the changes coming to Conqueror’s Blade. Be sure to follow the Conqueror’s Blade topic.

Let’s dive in and take a look at the big news and games on the horizon.

Gaiscioch Community News

The Great Website Migration

We have migrated to our new server and upgraded to the latest version of PHP and MariaDB. While about 80% of the website is error-free, I will continue hunting and eliminating oddities as I find them.

There is still a lot to do across Gaiscioch.com, GaisciochMagazine.com, ConquerorsBladeaHub.com, TelaraSaga.com, ChroniclesOfTamriel.com, GreatTyrianAdventure.com, gsch.info, and extralife.gaiscioch.com. There are additionally 5 other sites that moved with this migration, too, that I have been working on fixing.

At the end of the day, I feel the site is running smoother than it was, and I’ve also begun setting it up for the new system. Together, we’ll be building a magnificent future for our community.

New Gaiscioch.com Synced Discord Bot

While I was migrating our website, I began brushing up on my Python, and with the help of ChatGPT, connecting some dots and finding a cheap Discord bot hosting place, I managed to get my Gaiscioch.com bridge up and running.

This bot syncs ranks between Gaiscioch.com and our Discord, as well as tracks when people contribute to the community through Discord. No,w instead of having to manually run this process daily or weekly It does it several times a day automatically.

Some additional features I’m looking to add in the future are:

• Better event announcements

• Automatically gives Discord ranks when you join an adventure or removes ranks when you leave an adventure.

• Logging in or registering to Gaiscioch.com using your Discord login. (Using oauth)

• Announcing Promotions, awards, and community accomplishments to Discord.

Mark Your Calendars: G4EL 2026: Nov. 6-8

Join us for our 16th annual Gaiscioch for Extra Life as we celebrate our 25th year as a community playing some old favorites. We’ll be diving into some retro gems this year, as well as our newest and greatest.

Featuring:

• Dark Age of Camelot

• Guild Wars Reforged

• Return of Reckoning (Warhammer Online)

• Guild Wars 2

• Elder Scrolls Online

• Conqueror’s Blade

We will be treating this as a 25th-year homecoming tour to show players where we used to play. We will be forming up new characters and exploring the beginning scenes of each game together.

We had another great year of Extra Life almost bringing in 1,800 for the Children’s Miracle Network. We’ll still be taking donations up to Jan 1st here. Now that that’s past us, it’s time for the Great Server Migration to begin! If you missed the news earlier this month, check it out here. Be sure to choose your prizes if you won during the Extra Life!

The Community Conference Delayed

With the great migration taking place over December, there’s no way for me to pull off the Community Conference and the migration. Therefore, I’m postponing the conference to January 25th. I’m hoping this will provide me the time I need after the dust settles to produce the show.

The Horizon

We’ve seen some pretty cool announcements come our way, including Ashes of Creation’s drop onto Early Access. Let’s do a quick rundown on what’s going on in our community this month.

House of Warfare

Ashes of Creation - Dec 11th

Now not everyone is going to be jumping on board, but I will be diving in and scheduling a few streams so we as a community can explore it and make the decision if this is a place we want to call home. Stay tuned for that announcement. I will be joined by SirHenryVale, HousecarlKarl, Mika, Donaliam, Seacoral, and Trithian as we dive into this game and examine its potential.

Adventure︱Steam

Conqueror’s Blade - Crown & Cross Conclusion

The season is coming to an end, and next season appears to be when the two-handed bastard sword makes its way into Conqueror’s Blade as a hero weapon. A developer video teased the making of the class, so we should be able to look forward to that in the near future. That said, December-January, I’ll be migrating Conqueror’s Blade Hub, so my usual new season preview may be delayed.

Adventure︱Steam

World of Sea Battle

This past month, Gaiscioch formed a clan in World of Sea Battle, the new open sea MMO. Gaiscioch is looking for members to join us so we can launch into the trade guilds before finding a faction to throw our weight behind. If you like Sea Dogs, Black Flag, or Pirates but wish it was an MMO, then check this one out. It’s has PvE only areas and PvP areas for those who want to compete. Certainly worth trying.

House of Mysticism

Guild Wars 2 - Visions of Eternity

The party never stops in Guild Wars 2. Our community is riding on full these days with the afk window shrinking to below 3 months for the first time since launch. We are constantly having to rotate people out to make room for new players. For those returning, hit any of us up for an invite. Everyone can invite. Over the course of December, my activity is going to be sporadic as I’ll be traveling for a good chunk of it but I do want to get some story events in the books to help people get through the latest story chapters with the expansion.

Guild Wars Reforged - Dec 3rd

If you’ve ever been curious about the original Guild Wars, now’s the time to jump in. Guild Wars Reforged is launching on Dec 3rd, and our community has an active group of players playing weekly together. Get involved and see the events unfold that shape the world of Guild Wars 2.

Where Winds Meet

This quiet little game with astonishing graphics and creative gameplay mechanics snuck up on many and appeared out of nowhere. While it does have a guild system and some open-world areas where you can play with others, it’s largely considered a co-op game. It is, however, one of the most beautiful and wonderfully written free games we’ve seen in a long time. Check it out for yourself and join Gaiscioch in-game to find others to play with.

Share your Feedback!

Let us know which of these games you’re most excited about, or let us know what game is on your horizon you’d like us to check in on. This ship is steered by the current of its players. If the community wants to play something, we want to play it with you!

Now 24 years behind us and over 9,000 registered members strong, we have conquered the impossible, done the unimaginable, won awards, built our own magazine, streamed for thousands, and raised nearly $60,000 for children in need. We’ve slain dragons, killed the unkillable, broken records in the games we touch, and entertained the masses.

All the while being drawn together by a never-ending thirst for adventure! It’s remarkable what happens when you let people play how they want, when they want, for as long as they want, with who they want. Magic happens, and 24 years later, here we are.

Not a day goes by that I’m not proud of all of you. From distant shores to my own town, you’ve come, shared, and built this community.

The Road Ahead

For years, we have sailed the sea of MMORPGs searching for that new home. All the Islands we’ve come upon have been small and washed away into the deep blue. We saw the rise and fall of Bless, Gloria Victis Astellia, Elyon, Crowfall, Devillian, Defiance, Wildstar, Firefall, Tera, Echo of Soul, Swords of Legend, and, most recently, New World. While these games may be distant memories, we shared many great adventures within them, and for a time, we were entertained. But they all lacked that something to keep us coming back.

Game Developers have shrunk the size of guilds from Unlimited in RIFT, to 1000 in World of Warcraft, to 500 in Guild Wars 2, to 100 in Conqueror’s Blade, to 70 people in Throne & Liberty, and it’s likely this trend will continue. While the grandiose MMO of days past seems to be a distant memory, we have found ways to adapt and flourish. Through our adventures, we have continued our quest to unite people with similar passions.

Looking to our horizon, I am hopeful about our future and want to take us on yet another great adventure. The first major challenge I must face to get us there is the website we’ve used for 24 years. It has served us well, but like our games of days past, it too needs to look towards its next chapter.

Gaiscioch.com

I’ll be honest with you all. The site is in dire straits and needs to be rebuilt. It’s not going to be a fast process. When we had to make the PHP 4.5 to 7.1 jump over the course of a weekend, we glued things together the best we could, but with over 20 years of code piling up, this monster is slow and a nightmare to maintain.

With 24 years of history, this site has served us well, but it’s time to build for the future. To do that, I’m going to rip it down to the foundation and build it new.

Over the Holidays, I will be tearing it to the ground and rebuilding it. I’ve discussed what pieces we should keep with and aim to get restored asap, but other areas like the Tavern will be going away now that Discord has taken over most communication.

The core areas I plan to have online day 1 are the Event System, Leadership, and Fellowship. I also plan to rebuild how progression works in Gaiscioch. I’ve wanted to simplify the system for years, and this seems like a good chance.

I will do my absolute best to try to preserve what data I can, but we need to shrink the amount of disk space is required. If all goes well, the site should be lightning fast and not take 8+ seconds to load at times.

Gaiscioch: Year 25

This is a big year for us, and I plan to position us in a way that we can take on the next 25 in new, fun ways. The first and major change is a bit of a step back to our roots. I have decided I want to go back to the place that brought my passion for Irish Mythology to life and gave way to creating the Gaiscioch.

I plan to introduce the Gaiscioch School of Epic Adventure, which includes 5 houses, each with its own motif, theme, emblem, patron, and lore based on Irish Mythology and blended with our community’s culture. You’ll be able to participate in events from any one of the 5 houses and increase your ranks within those houses.

🟢 Mysticism - Fantasy & Medieval

Patriarch: Manannán mac Lir

Examples: Star Trek Online, Star Citizen, Dune Awakening, Ashfall, Jump Space, Deep Rock Galactic, Warframe, Once Human, Elite Dangerous, Warhammer 40K Darktide, Light No Fire, Secret World

🟡 Artisanship - Survival & Crafting

Patriarch: Goibinu the Smith

Examples: New World, Enshrouded, Valheim, Light No Fire, Rune 2, Pax Dei, Icarus, Conan Exiles, Portal Knights, Soulmask, Myth of Empires

These games tickle your creativity, encouraging you to dream and build, and touch the sky. Imagination is the limit, and together we dream big and build bigger.

🟣 Shadows - Tactics & Strategy

Matriarch: The Morrigan

Examples: Orcs Must Die, Hunters Inc, Delta Force, Caliber, Warface, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six: Siege, Overwatch, Fortnite, Shatterline, Blood Bowl 2

Fast-paced, action-packed, sometimes requiring a little stealth, these games are focused on keeping your reflexes sharp and your instincts sharper.

Bringing it together

Overall, I wanted to infuse a little bit of lore into each style of game we play. Providing backstories and information about each of the patrons and stoking the fires of curiosity. In the end, Gaiscioch was born as a way to share a forgotten mythos with gamers, and I would really like it to return to being that platform. I was even thinking of possibly holding some storytelling events in Discord where people could come around the campfire and share their tales each week.

Each of these houses will earn you Experience by claiming events for the games within each house’s purview. This, in turn, builds your profile to show what types of games you lean towards. All of the Experience you earn will go towards your new and improved Gaiscioch rank.

Additionally, I have plans to create subsystems from each of these houses that will carry over to games outside of their particular house. At the end of the day, I plan to use this system to help tie players together by similar interests. Helping people who like to play certain kinds of games find others who enjoy the same type of games.

Year 25 Meetups!

I’m going to be looking for opportunities to celebrate our 25th year with all of you. I would like to schedule some meetups this year, so keep an eye out for where and when. If opportunity allows, we’ll make it happen!

In Closing

The road ahead is uncertain, but I am certain that we are going to have the grandest of adventures filled with laughter and joy. I look forward to sharing this adventure with all of you!

Foghladha

As the final harvest faded and the chill of winter crept across the Celtic lands, the people of ancient Ireland gathered around great bonfires to mark Samhain (pronounced Sow-in). This sacred festival, celebrated at the midpoint between autumn and winter, honored the turning of the year—a time when the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead grew thin. The Celts believed that on this night, the spirits of ancestors could return to visit their loved ones, while mischievous fae and restless souls wandered freely across the hills and fields. To protect themselves and honor the departed, villagers left offerings of food and lit lanterns carved from turnips to guide friendly spirits home.

Over the centuries, as Christianity spread through Europe, Samhain’s traditions blended with All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days, giving birth to what we now know as Halloween. In other parts of the world, echoes of this ancient reverence for the dead lived on—transforming into beautiful celebrations like Día de los Muertos in Mexico and All Hallows’ Eve across Europe. Though the rituals may differ, they share the same heartbeat: remembrance, renewal, and the belief that death is not an end, but a doorway.

Today, Samhain is still celebrated by modern Celts and pagans around the world as a time of reflection and connection—honoring ancestors, marking the close of the harvest, and welcoming the quiet wisdom of winter. When we light candles in the dark, dress in masks, or tell ghostly tales by firelight, we’re carrying on the same ancient spark that once burned bright in the hills of Ireland thousands of years ago.

Celebrating Samhain Gaiscioch Style

As the veil thins and the fires of Samhain burn once more, the Gaiscioch gather—not in the misty fields of Éire, but across the digital realms of our favorite MMORPGs. Each year, games across the world of online adventures celebrate the season with haunted festivals, costumed chaos, and spirited events that echo the ancient Celtic traditions of transformation and remembrance.

For us, Samhain is more than just a holiday—it’s a chance to come together as a tribe and share laughter, stories, and spooky adventures. Whether we’re battling spectral foes in *Guild Wars 2’s Shadow of the Mad King*, delving into *Elder Scrolls Online’s Witches Festival*, or carving pumpkins in *New World’s Nightveil Hallow*, the spirit remains the same: honoring the cycle of life and death through fellowship and play. So grab your costume, light your virtual torch, and join the Gaiscioch in celebrating the season where the worlds—both real and imagined—grow closer than ever.

Guild Wars 2: Shadow of the Mad King festival

Prepare to enter the Mad Realm! The annual Shadow of the Mad King festival returns to Guild Wars 2 from October 7 to November 4, beckoning all Gaiscioch members to face King Thorn’s madness in exchange for sweet rewards. The event is a prime source of Candy Corn, special achievements, and introduces brand-new Lunatic Jester’s Trousers and a collection of Unchained weapons for 2025!

Ah yes, October. The season of pumpkin spice everything, questionable costume decisions, and… charity marathons where we all heroically sacrifice our sleep schedules for a good cause! That’s right folks, it’s Extra Life season—where we channel our inner caffeine-powered night elves, slay digital dragons, build dubious contraptions, and raise money to help real-life heroes: kids who deserve miracles.

It’s been 15 years since Gaiscioch first stumbled into this noble quest, and somehow we’ve raised nearly $60,000 without once being sponsored by Red Bull (a true tragedy of our age). This year, we’re setting our sights on $5,000 more, because if there’s one thing we love, it’s proving that gamers can out-heal raid bosses and hospital bills.

So grab your dice, charge your headsets, and prepare to defend the realm of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Together, we’ll laugh, we’ll cheer, and someone will definitely misclick during a boss fight and become a legend in the highlight reel.

Pink avatars? Check. Overly ambitious stream schedule? Double check. A community crazy enough to pull it off? You bet your loot bag.

Game on, Gaiscioch. Let’s make this October unforgettable—for the kids, for the cause, and maybe for that time someone accidentally tried to tank in crafting gear.

This month is packed tighter than a loot chest after raid night: charity events, community news, promotions, and a raffle that might just make your inventory sparkle. So grab your favorite beverage, cozy up, and scroll on—because the Gaiscioch story is just getting good.

Celebrating 15 Years of Epic Charity Events!

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since a little boy named Tristan inspired our community to step up and raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network. From a little boy in need of a kidney to the hundreds of stories we’ve heard since, the Children’s Miracle Network continues to shine and help these little heroes in need. Join me starting on Nov 1st as we raise money to support this awesome cause!

Gaiscioch Goes Pink for October

In our everlasting quest to make a stand against cancer, the villain that has taken so many lives from our community, we stand in solidarity and remembrance, donning the color pink in October. You’ll notice most of our in-game icons shift to a pink color throughout the month of October. This annual tradition is in honor of all of our community’s cancer survivors and in memory of the ones who are no longer with us.

Join us as Emberwild in Aerthos!

The Gaiscioch Community, known for honor, integrity, and fellowship since 2001, is rallying brave souls to join us on Day One. We’re planting our banner with the Emberwild faction, determined to ignite their quest for glory and dominate the battlefields of Aerthos.

Gaiscioch (“Gosh-kia”) is more than a guild—it’s a family built on shared experiences and epic moments. Our history spans legendary siege warfare titles: the campaigns of Dark Age of Camelot, the battlegrounds of Warhammer Online, the skirmishes of Guild Wars 2, the immersive realms of Elder Scrolls Online, and the tactical mastery of Conqueror’s Blade. These decades of experience have sharpened our strategies and cemented our focus: creating unforgettable memories in every world we enter.

In Warborne: Above Ashes, we’ll bring that expertise to fuel the Emberwild’s rise as true inheritors of the Flame. Their lore—an indomitable spirit bound to ancient dragons—mirrors our own commitment to unity and purpose. Just as Emberwild seeks to reclaim its legacy, Gaiscioch strives to build a thriving community where every member, regardless of skill, finds purpose and contributes to our collective triumph.

Whether your heart beats for PvP battles, the strategic depth of PvE, or a mix of both, Gaiscioch offers a welcoming home. We host countless community-driven events, from open-world clashes to public raids, always prioritizing collaboration and shared victories over individual accolades. Our leadership is transparent and steady, providing a stable foundation where humor, fun, and lasting friendships flourish.

Joining Gaiscioch means becoming part of something larger than yourself. Together, we’ll carve our names into the history of Warborne: Above Ashes, creating legendary moments and forging an enduring legacy for the Emberwild.

Frequently Asked Questions

• What does Gaiscioch Mean?
It is from the legend of the arrival of the Tuatha De Danann in Irish Mythology. The Gaiscioch were the elite warriors, poets, diplomats, craftsmen, and seers whom the Tuatha de Danann recruited to protect them and the people of Ireland. It is Middle-Irish for Warrior or Champion.

• What is your community atmosphere like?
We are not the Try-Hard type. We enjoy taking players of all skill levels and backgrounds into our raids to entertain them and show them a good time. We have a relaxed approach towards gaming and do not force playstyles upon people. This, in turn, places us as a support team towards the fighters who are aiming for the grand prize. We are more interested in helping new players learn the ropes than conquering thrones.

• Who can join?
Anyone willing to be a respectful and friendly player is welcome to join our ranks. We don't care how good or experienced at the game you are or how slow your reflexes are. If you're looking to have some fun, we're looking for you!

Season Terracotta Coming to a Roaring Conclusion

Hibernia Prepares for an Epic Finish

This season, we were joined by friends from the HOMICIDE house, which turned out to be a pretty nice fit, bringing a new Fox Battalion to the field. Together, Bear, Tiger, Fox, Wolf, and Raccoon secured 14 properties in northern Longting.

This season has been a nonstop brawl from our start against Brazil, Bestarius, and NoEvil through our epic whack-a-mole campaign vs the cohorts. It's been nonstop fire since kickoff. One last war stands between us and an epic conclusion.

If you're on the fence about trying Conqueror's Blade again, I highly recommend logging in now before the season concludes to grab your free seasonal Blue, Purple, and Gold units. Once the season locks down, it will be gone forever. This is a great chance to get three units for free.

If you're looking for advice on which units to pick, head over to our Discord. I have posted a helpful list here.

Conqueror's Blade August Updates Recap

As we transition from the heat of summer, let's take a moment to reflect on the past month and the progress we've made together. August was a month of epic battles, strategic victories, and essential game updates that impacted all of us on the battlefield.

Victory in the Faction Showdown!

After weeks of fierce conflict, the Faction Showdown has reached its conclusion, and the Terracotta Army has emerged victorious! The House of Gaiscioch, alongside our allies, fought hard for the Terracotta Army. Our combined efforts helped unlock every tier of the event rewards for all participants, and our faction has secured the exclusive "All Victorious" title! A special shout-out to everyone who took part in the daily sign-in and utilized the free doctrine removal—I hope you found some new and powerful unit combinations!

Essential Updates for the Battlefield

The developers have been busy making key changes that directly affect our strategies on Elysium Peak. Keep these in mind as we head into the next season:

• Palace Guards: The Palace Guards are now more reliable than ever. A bug that was causing their [For The Power!] skill to do low damage has been fixed, and the cooldown reduction on their shield bash now works correctly. This makes them a more viable and formidable unit.

• Modao Battalion: The issue with the Modao Battalion's [Modao Defence] skill, which caused them to attack an incorrect number of targets, has been resolved. They're back to being a solid defensive line.

• Empire Chariot: The Empire Chariot can now consistently reach its maximum speed. This is a big deal for those who rely on them for fast and devastating charges.

• PvE Improvements: They've also made some important optimizations to the Return to Battlefield PvE mode, which should make those battles smoother and more rewarding.

The Road Ahead

Thank you for your dedication and courage throughout August. Our strength lies in our unity and our ability to adapt to the ever-changing battlefield. The new season is just on the horizon, and with it, new challenges and opportunities for glory.

Stay vigilant, Warlords, and we'll see you on the battlefield!
